Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the decisive phase of the war with Russia has shifted from land and sea to the air. After successfully stopping Russian ground advances and driving the Russian fleet away from the western Black Sea, Zelenskyy argued that the battle in the sky will determine the outcome of the conflict, though air defense, especially anti-ballistic defense, remains Ukraine's critical vulnerability.

Zelenskyy is attending the NATO summit in Turkey to urge partners to supply more air-defense systems and help Ukraine produce its own anti-ballistic missile defenses. He emphasized that European nations should stop neglecting this issue and instead share technologies and industrial capabilities, as there will never be enough Patriot systems for everyone.

Meanwhile, Ukraine is intensifying long-range drone strikes deep inside Russian territory and Crimea, reaching as far as Siberia. Zelenskyy believes that sustained, large-scale attacks targeting Moscow and St. Petersburg will create significant psychological and economic pressure on Putin, ultimately forcing him to alter his calculations and end the war.
