Rapid advances in batteries, software, and chips accelerate model upgrades, while lower resale values—with the average EV worth just 43.35% of its original price after three years—also encourage earlier replacements.

Buyers under 35 are the core customer base for new-energy vehicles and prioritize smart-driving and digital experiences, with 43% of EV owners replacing their vehicles primarily to upgrade intelligent features.
