尽管西北地区拥有丰富的可再生能源且政策要求新数据中心绿电使用率需逾80%,但东部特大城市仍具备更优越的网络连通性优势。此外,政策激励下大规模投资也带来潜在产能过剩风险,促使中央政府对大型项目实施国家审批机制以遏制盲目重复建设,但当前这波建设浪潮已为当地经济与居民带来显著的繁荣商机。

AI frontrunners such as DeepSeek and Z.AI are erecting massive gigawatt-scale data centers in the region, leveraging cooler climates, cheaper power, and abundant land to fuel energy-intensive workloads like AI model training and cloud storage.

Although the northwestern region benefits from surplus renewable power and faces strict regulations requiring over 80% green electricity usage, eastern metropolises retain superior network connectivity. Furthermore, massive enthusiasm and policy incentives risk triggering industrial overcapacity, leading Beijing to enforce strict national approvals for major projects to curb speculative construction even as local businesses and residents thrive amidst the ongoing boom.
