Meta 的 Threads 将推出「播客预览」功能,让创作者上传节目片段并在动态中直接播放,以延长用户停留时间、吸引播客主与粉丝在平台内互动。此前 Threads 也新增了个人档案可连结播客节目并跳转至 Apple Podcasts、iHeart 或 Spotify 的功能,目标是把讨论与社群留在 Threads 内部。

Threads 负责人 Connor Hayes 认为,若播客主愿意亲自下场回复与参与,Threads 可能成为粉丝讨论节目的「主要场域」。平台也透过线下活动拉新与促进发文,例如本月稍早在洛杉矶录制篮球播客《All The Smoke》,邀请创作者到场,带动 Threads 上的贴文与对话;他并表示,运动与实境节目类播客的讨论已在应用中发生。

Threads 由 Meta 于 2023 年推出,背景是 Elon Musk 收购 Twitter(现名 X)后的变动窗口;早期曾在上线后数日达到 1 亿用户,现已超过 1.5 亿每日活跃用户,但仍在争取更多高知名度创作者与新闻人物常态发文。相较过去 Facebook 社团多由粉丝主导、主持人难以掌控话题,Threads 希望让主持人直接经营;同时也面临 Reddit、付费 Discord 社群,以及 Substack、Patreon 等以聊天与互动留住订户的平台竞争。

Meta’s Threads is rolling out podcast previews—uploadable show snippets that play directly in the feed—to pull podcasters and fans into longer on-app engagement. The company has also added profile links that open a show in Apple Podcasts, iHeart, or Spotify, aiming to build more creator-led communities around episodes.

Threads head Connor Hayes argues the app could become the default place where fans talk about podcasts, especially if hosts participate and steer the conversation themselves. To spark activity, Threads is pairing product features with live events, such as an early-December taping of the basketball podcast All The Smoke in Los Angeles that prompted creators to post and discuss on Threads; Hayes says sports and reality-TV podcast chatter is already active on the platform.

Launched in 2023 amid upheaval at Twitter after Elon Musk’s purchase (now X), Threads reportedly hit 100 million users within days and has since surpassed 150 million daily active users, yet still wants more high-profile creators and newsmakers posting regularly. It also faces entrenched discussion hubs like Reddit, paid Discord communities, and newsletter/subscription platforms such as Substack and Patreon that use chat and engagement to retain subscribers.
