Benefiting from surging demand for chip manufacturing equipment driven by artificial intelligence, Europe's most valuable tech company ASML has raised its full-year sales forecast for the second time this year. Chief Executive Christophe Fouquet noted that demand for lithography machines needed to produce advanced chips is robust, with orders piling up for the next two years. To meet accelerating customer plans, the company expects to increase the production capacity of its most advanced extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography machines by 30 percent next year and is considering a similar expansion in 2028.

ASML has emerged as Europe's biggest winner in the AI boom, with its market capitalization surpassing 600 billion euros. Financial data shows that the company has raised its full-year net sales forecast to between 43 billion and 45 billion euros, well above analyst expectations. Second-quarter sales also demonstrated strong growth, rising 21 percent year-over-year to 9.3 billion euros, while net income reached 2.9 billion euros, both eclipsing market forecasts.

Strong demand from memory chip manufacturer customers is one of the key drivers of this growth, with related revenue expected to surge by 75 percent this year. In addition, major clients like Intel have already begun deploying ASML's latest "High NA" EUV equipment, and TSMC has reported significant sales growth. ASML is also currently in discussions with Elon Musk regarding a chipmaking project called Terafab, which could bring the company another major new customer.
